"Our Founding Mothers"
Marie Harris performs as Etta Stocking and as Albertina Kafer.
Mrs. Stocking was a single woman who made the Cherokee Outlet Land Run in 1893. The stories are presented as living history about Etta's arranged marriage, staking her claim, and other touching and funny experiences from the pioneering era of Oklahoma's past.
Albertina Kafer is a German immigrant who traveled to America at age 15. Mrs. Kafer is Marie's real grandmother whose experiences are taken from her personal diary over a 20 year period. The ladies arrive in costume and in character.
