![]() Story Theatre, a spin-off of Readers' Theatre, is an interactive and energizing opportunity for groups -- large or small, youthful or mature to perform a story together. This workshop will provide tips on scripting, presentation techniques, and curriculum integration. Applications to current educational buzz-topics, such as core character traits and life skills development, will be demonstrated. ![]() PhD biologist/storyteller Fran Stallings will show you how to use the traditional art of storytelling to teach modern science principles. You will learn how to present these stories in your own style (not memorized). You will discuss the deeper meanings of universally enjoyable folk tales and learn where to find more for your students, touching on curriculum-integrated applications in other subject areas such as language arts, history, math, etc. Most important, you'll leave with stories ready-to-tell. 2:00-3:00 p.m. Story Concert: A Touch of Inspiration Room 1
